Top Affiliate Programs – Yahoo! Answers

Daniel asks…

Who has the highest paying affiliate program?

I’m about to begin an internet marketing campaign and promote affiliate products. Who is the top paying affiliate program?

Yahoo answers:

The way I make money online is by making websites. You do not need to be a genius either.

These websites are targeted to niche markets and promote ebay items for related goods. I add in amazon ads and other big search engine ads that we had best not mention. Its a great income from many sources.

I reckon anyone can do using the program I do. Ebay pay $25.00 per new sign up and 50% of any revenue they make from a sale if someone buys through your site.

And that can be anyone, even friends, family or you as well as the worldwide visitors.

Take a look at http://www.nichebomb.com

Carol asks…

EMBED AFFILIATE LINKS IN DOMAIN NAME?

Hello friends, I am a newbie in the field of internet marketing. I intent to initiate article marketing with affiliate links embedded in the resource box. But article directories do not permit to put direct affiliate links in their resource box. For instance ezinearticle says:
EzineArticles.com Editorial Guidelines: (AFFILIATE PROGRAMS):

Affiliate links will be allowed if the link is a domain name you own which forward/redirects to the affiliate link from the top-level of the domain name. For example, it is permissible to forward to an affiliate link from:

http://your-company-name.com/

…but it would not be permissible to forward to an affiliate link from:

http://your-company-name.com/page.html

http://your-company-name.com/subdirectory/

http://your-company-name.com/subdirectory/page.html

http://sub-domain.your-company-name.com/

Any article with an affiliate link that does not adhere to this guideline will cause the article to be rejected.
Now my questions are: 1.would a free domain name from blogger.com do?
2. Is it possible to embed affiliate links in my domain, so that each time one clicks the domain name would be send directly to the vendor’s website instead of my blog. I want to use my domain name as a bridge between my articles and the vendor’s websites. If it is possible how can I do it?
3.Do article directories allow it?
4. Is it legit?
THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWER.

Yahoo answers:

I remember getting away with signing up for a free blog on blogger and editing the html so it redirects to your affiliate link when you type in your site (http://www.XXXXX.blogspot.com)

You’ll have to search around for the redirect code.

PUTTING AFFILIATE LINKS IN SUB-DOMAIN NAME?

Yahoo answers:

With Ezine I would just put the link to your blog and forward from there. You can try a redirect with them but a lot of times if the page isn’t a top level page then they won’t accept it. Although, I have seen people use redirects and get away with it. I never have though. They must be kissing some ass or something. Other article directories will allow it but read the guidelines first to avoid a lot of rejection.

Another thing you can do is buy a cheap domain name from godaddy and ‘mask’ your affiliate link with your new domain name. This will force your new domain url to stay in view instead of the vendors url. Some companies do not allow this though but it will be stated in their ‘affiliate contract’. Godaddy makes it easy to mask the url. For instance my http://enlightenment-course.com is my masked url…and http://enlightenmentcourse.com is the actual vendors url. I just added a dash between the words.

I wouldn’t use blogger because you could lose those domain names down the road and then your ‘bridge’ would be lost. It would work for right now though.

I own my own websites and this is the page redirect I use:

content=”0;url=affiliate link here”>
optional text here

Good luck!

John asks…

A question about affiliates, internet marketing, direct mail?

I have found a product overseas, that i would like to promote here in the uk.

Its a self help course, and the owner runs an affilate programme that pays £200 each referall.

I would prefer to do a direct mail offer, as i believe i have a list, that i could promote the product to.

Anyone have any experience of affiliate marketing or direct mail experience.

I have purchased courses seminars before with the top uk guys, andrew reynolds, simon coulson, but if truth be told, im still a bit of a novice.

Any advice would be grateful, thanks

Yahoo answers:

I know of affiliates making equal profits from direct mail postcard campaigns. There are demographically target mailing lists available for rent, I don’t know U.K. Sources or regulations, i the U.S. Postal mail is less regulated than email, the central directory of mailing lists is NextMark, working with a list of high converting prospects, perhaps with a prior buying history, makes an otherwise losing campaign a winner.

Some campaigns direct people to call a tole free with a recorded message, some people prefer the case of a recoded presentation over a telemarketer.

One common practice is to buy a reasonably short, somewhat related domain that’s shown on the postcard and setup with a redirect with your affiliate link right to the merchant’s page.

Simple black print on pastel postcards ofter convert better than graphic magazine ad looks.

Ken asks…

What are my chances of acceptance? (Details inside)?

Hello!

I’m hoping that someone out there may be able to give some insight into my chances of acceptance at these schools.

1. UCLA
2. USC (Southern California)
3. UCI
4. UCR
5. UCM
6. CSU Long Beach

(These are in order of preference)

I’m currently a junior who will be applying to a university right after graduation. I’m a Northern California resident (but would like to move southward for personal reasons) and was also born here. My high school is recognized by many universities as quite rigorous and excellent for a public school.

I’m hoping to major in Biology (which I will be taking as an AP next year) and perhaps go into Dentistry or some branch of it.

GPA: 3.5 Unweighted(currently) will probably be around 3.6/3.7 after some grades are adjusted after the year is over (AP affecting final grade, etc.). Around 3.9 Weighted (will also be higher once adjusted)

SAT: 2040 (will be retaking)

SAT II: 4 different subjects (will be taking soon)

ACT: undecided on whether to take it or not

Number of Honors Courses: 4

Number of AP Courses: 3 (Will be taking 4 more next year)

I went from taking almost zero honors classes in the beginning of high school to an increasing amount of honors and AP’s in sophomore and (this) junior year. Therefore, my GPA suffered a little because of these classes. I’m no brilliant genius by nature so tackling some of these courses has proven to be more difficult than what I was used to.

Extras:
-Sport before entering High School
-300+ hours of community service
-Member of service group for 3 years
-Volunteer at the same place for 3 Years
-President of a school club
-Played the piano for well over 10 years
-6 years of outside-of-school (in addition to the same amount in-school) foreign language instruction (In what most consider to be the most difficult East Asian language)
-2 years of instruction in another difficult East Asian language
-1 College course in East Asian History
-Participation in a brief, government-affiliated program to study abroad in Asia

Additional:
-California resident
-Underrepresented minority (no doubt)
-can receive amazing recommendation letters outside from teachers
-many experiences and notable things to write about in my college application essays
-Again, my high school is considered to be quite rigirous in its course work and the teachers are challenging
-I’m hoping to be the first in my family to go to an outstanding school and really pursue a career that will ultimately be financially successful and personally fulfilling.

Unfortunately, my grades are not as magnificent as those of other students who will be applying to these universities; however, I am interested in knowing what kind of chances I have to my top schools. I’ve checked many scatter grams, statistics, etc. and also realize that there is no sure-fire way to predict where exactly I will be accepted, but I hope that someone will be able to give me some indication (mostly to ease my stress). I am also hoping that my extra-curriculars (although not extensive) will give me some sort of boost, especially my volunteering and trip abroad (which opened my eyes to many new things I was previously unaware of). I am very impressed with my achievements in the area of foreign language and am very passionate about my experiences with it. It is really what allowed me to have as many opportunities as I’ve had, and I feel extremely blessed.

As for my interests, I would say I have interests leaning more towards the artsy/creative side, things I’m naturally good at. However, dentistry has always fascinated me (as Biology also has) and I can say that I have no issues looking and probing around anyone’s mouth.

I tried to add as many details as possible; however, it’s impossible to give you my entire personality over the internet. But, I hope that someone will be able to tell me what realistic chances I have at these schools.

Thank you so much!
Mistake in the 3 paragraph: I will be ATTENDING a university after my graduation from high school…I will obviously be APPLYING before that.

Yahoo answers:

Well, your credentials are quite impressive and could get you into many schools. If you want the ones you have listed above then your first priority is to to bring your unweighted GPA up at least to a 3.75 (preferably higher), colleges look at the unweighted GPAs and really don’t care to much about weighted. As with the SAT you need a 2200+ to have a good chance. As for taking the ACT, take it the test are completely different and you could submit them both give them a better view of how you perform on different types of standardized test and gives you to shots at getting approval by test score as opposed to one. As for the SAT II, I am not familiar with the point system that they use,so my advice is to take the highest possible score and take 15% or 100 points off and aim for that, but ultimately go for the highest possible score. You will need incredible recommendation letters, as well as a killer essay. As for your Extra’s the only thing that’s holding you back is your lack of high school sports…if you could get in any sport this or next year it’s going to greatly increase your chances…your other credentials look good because your not applying to Ivy Leagues. If you were I was going to suggest a couple other things that Ivy’s like. As for your experiences…use them in your essay, I have seen some killer essays, and for you wanting UCLA, I would suggest that you write at least 5-7 page essay, most UCLA students I have talked to say their paper was about that length. Be very descriptive in your writing this is really a huge thing to the admissions council.

now ask yourselves. who benefitted from the attacks on 9/11 and the “war on terror”
9.1% is hardly even close to being 100% of running abc, cbs, nbc, fox, cnn, msnbc, cnbc, new york times, washington post, etc. the list goes on forever. the fact is 96% of the world’s media are controlled by jews. this is a fact.
these names listed aren’t simple journalists. THEY ARE CEO’s or OWNERS of the media outlet
andy, if only jews read newspapers or watched the news on television, i would say you have a point. otherwise, you still didn’t prove any of these jews aren’t ceo’s or owners of media outlets.
do you people think today’s media is not biased? any muslim that picks up an arm is considered a “terrorist” even if he is simply defending his family from occupation or threat. today’s media wants to pretend to be against this war on terror, when in fact, the only man running for president that would stop it, they label crazy. israel and the jews are america’s biggest problem today. jews are not elite, they just have you think they are. throughout history, including today, jews have been the center of the world’s biggest problems. the jews are the only beneficiaries to 9/11. hell, larry silverstein turned a 200 million dollar investment into a 7 billion dollar return in 6 short weeks. amazing. i simply don’t like for their to be one voice among the media. and yes, ceo’s do make policy. including what type of mentality to hire. i wouldn’t want all ceo’s to be all male, or all female, or all white or all black. but when you have cnn, abc, cbs, fox, nbc, msnbc, and most all
and most all major newspapers in america, and the world for that matter, run by a very small minority, you will not get the whole truth. for example, when was the last time you read a story in mainstream news of an israeli sniper shooting a 15 year old girl hanging clothes out to dry on her roof and her 12 year old brother feeding pigeons in the neck. or how many of you have heard of the american girl that got run over by an israeli military bulldozer that was demolishing palestinian homes in the jewish, err, i mean mainstream, media.

Yahoo answers:

I’m not sure about the religion aspect nor do i care. Its true our media is controlled to influence us and brainwash us. The real problem is CFR it undermines our country. I believe Ron Paul to be the best choice for America. He is the only experienced candidate that isn’t part of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations). This organization is big business, big money and controls most media outlets. Instead do a search about them. To me it seems like they want to take our ever decreasing constitutional rights away and put in a dictator/puppet of their choice. Eventually they want a one world govt, controlled by them of course. America’s military is their policy making attack dog, hence some of the past wars and current war, our lives = their profit. If he is not elected we may become the North American Union instead of the USA, have a big ass highway run through the country, and instead of the US dollar the Amero. There may be more consequences/theories but I’m too lazy to type. So don’t take my word for it, do your own research. You can check his campaign website for his stance on issues. Also check out youtube for other info. CFR the real terrorist is a threat to our national security. Ron Paul deserves our support. Vote wisely. Good Luck

Donald asks…

Why are there so many Jews in the media?

The most effective component of Jewish connection is probably that of media control. It is well known that American public opinion molders have long been largely influenced by a handful of powerful newspapers, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, owned respectively by the Sulzbergers, Meyers, and the Pulitzers, (all Jewish families).

In the contemporary world, organized American Jewish lobbying groups and deeply committed Jews in the Bush administration and the media are behind the pro-Israel U.S. foreign policy that is leading to war against virtually the entire Arab world.

You answered your own question. It is to force Americans to support Israel and leach away at billions of our dollars, while covering up facts and spreading propoganda at the same time. Almost mimicking the Holocaust. I think its hilarious that Jews have convinced us Christians to hate Muslims. Muslims have more respect for Jesus Christ than ANY Jew. Most Muslims even observe Christmas. Jews don’t even want to let us say “Merry Christmas”, not to mention they consider Jesus Christ a joke.
